aD for Good has recently signed up with GoodSearch & GoodShop in order to give our supporters an easy way to raise money for us without directly donating a single penny!
GoodSearch is a search engine that donates half its revenue, about $0.01 per search, to the charities that its users designate. It is powered by Yahoo so you can use it just as you would any other search engine and get excellent search results. $0.01 per search may not sound like a lot of money, but if we get 100 MaD supporters using this search engine 4 times a day then this translates as a yearly revenue of $1,460 for us!
GoodShop is run by the same company and allows its users to shop online through a huge variety of stores (see: http://www.goodsearch.com/goodshop.aspx for the full list) who in turn donate a % of the total transaction to the charity of the buyer's choice. Nearly all of your major online stores are on here (over 1,000 stores are currently partnered with GoodShop), so spare a thought for MaD next time you decide to do some online shopping, whether its for music, computers, clothing, holidays or presents for friends and family. There are no extra costs for the consumer: you can browse and buy exactly the same way as you normally would do, the only difference being that you will be donating money to MaD at the same time!
