This will be a short entry today as the pictures tell the story.
The wet season seems to have set in for good now, although for the last 4 days we have had no rain. The water table has risen enough to allow us to use our new borehole and thus start flooding our #1 short rice, field.
This is the seed stage, where we have a seed bed area which today was ploughed, flooded and then had the seed sown.
In 14-21 days we will have young rice plants which will be manually transplanted into the rest of the field.
And in 3 months time – so around early to mid October we should have our FIRST MaD Organic Rice [MOR] harvest.
